So you're blogging now?

I know what you're going to say: starting a blog about my ever-expanding collection of hobbies is simply a way to add another hobby to the collection. And you'd be half-right.

Only half-right, because I used to write a blog several years ago. In typical neurodiverse hobby-collecting fashion, I lost interest in it when I didn't become an overnight sensation.

I mean, I did alright: I won a competition for my writing, I worked with a brand, I got sent stuff. But you know how it goes when your brain has told you you're going to be absolutely amazing at every new thing you pick up - eventually you get bored and move on to the next thing.

So, why am I trying again? Well, because I feel like it, really. This time I know I'm not going to be noticed by a publisher who's desperate to uncover a hidden talent, so I can stop worrying about what my book will be about and just get on with writing whatever it is my brain wants me to write about. If you're reading this in 2023 and wondering why there are no other entries, maybe I got bored more quickly than even I anticipated.

I didn't really know what to call this blog but as I don't really know what I'm going to be talking about, I felt like that should be reflected in the title somehow. I don't have any diagnosed neurodivergencies but if I was tested and I didn't have ADHD my mind would be blown. I've come to see that there are mix of people in the ADHD community - those who welcome the self-diagnosed or suspected ADHDers, and those who don't. I don't really care which category you fall into because if you're here reading my words, hopefully those words are all that matter.
